Happy Valentine’s Day

February is the month known for love although with the energies we are in they are either helping you in that direction or you may be seeing conflict in your relationships so I wanted to give you a little Valentines gift that will assist you towards the love you are looking for.

By now you all probably know I love essential oils and crystals or any natural way to assist in healing of any type so I wanted to gift you a recipe for a DIY Love Potion perfume blend. This is a simple essential oil crystal blend for a roll on perfume in the scent of Love Potion. Trust me it is yummy!

Just the name sounds romantic, right?

Love Potion Ingredients

When making all natural perfumes I prefer to use roller bottles. They are quick and easy both for applying and for travel. I just need the essential oils, crystals and almond or fractionated coconut oil and I’m all set.

Almond Oil or Coconut Oil

  • Easily absorbs
  • Won’t clog pores
  • Leaves no residue

Lavender

  • Sweet, floral aroma
  • Blends well with many oils
  • Calming and stress relieving (if romance is your goal you will want to be relaxed)

Wild Orange

  • Delicious citrus scent
  • Cheerful vibe
  • Provides courage

Ylang Ylang

  • Exotic floral aroma
  • Promotes sensual awakening
  • Encourages feelings of bliss
  • Brings you to a state of peace and calm

Vanilla Absolute (aka Vanilla Oleoresin)

  • Sweet, Intoxicating aroma
  • Comforting and nurturing
  • Heightens the senses
  • Adds a sensual element to blend

There is no such thing as vanilla essential oil. Vanilla can’t be extracted the way essential oils are extracted. That is why it is called an absolute, it has to do with how it is processed. I prefer the Edens Garden Vanilla Oleoresin but any vanilla oil will work.

Recipe

  • 3 drops Lavender
  • 3 drops Wild Orange
  • 2 drops Ylang Ylang
  • 2 drops Vanilla Absolute
  • Almond or Coconut Carrier Oil
  • 10 ml Roller Bottle
  • Clear Quartz Crystal
  • Rose Quartz
  • Moonstone and Jade

Directions

Add essential oils and crystal chips to the roller bottle, fill the rest of the bottle with almond or fractionated coconut oil (leaving room for the roller ball top). Place on roller ball and cap, then roll between palms to blend all the ingredients together.

If you have chips of the above crystals you can add them to the roller bottle if they are to large once all the roller bottles are full set them in a baking dish and surround them with the crystals overnight. It’s nice to put them out in the moonlight if there is a full moon.

I like to let the blend “marinate” overnight to allow all of the frequencies to mesh together.

Be sure to roll between palms before use, vanilla absolute is thick and tends to settle at the top.

Application of Essential Oil Perfume Roll On

It is best to apply perfume to “pulse points”. The pulse points are places where the blood vessels are closest to the skins surface. These locations let off more heat. So, when you apply the roll on perfume to these locations, it will react with your body heat and emit the aroma naturally like your own personal diffuser.

The pulse points are at the inner wrists, the inner elbows, behind the ear lobes, at the bottom of your throat, and behind the knees. Two other places you may want to apply the Love Potion is at the cleavage and the nape of the neck.

Give it a try, let me know what you think.

Again, Happy Valentines Day. I hope you all find the love you are looking for. I know I love and appreciate you.

P.S. If you need a place to source the oils you can go here.
