Full Super Blood Moon
You are in for a special treat this month. On May 26th you will see the 2nd Full Super Moon of 2021. This one will be quite different as it will be a “Blood Moon” because it will be accompanied by a total lunar eclipse.
The “Super” part is when a Full Moon is slightly closer to the Earth than usual, so it appears to be larger.
The “Blood Moon,” is a term for a total lunar eclipse. It gives the moon a crimson appearance.
The Super Blood Moon may also be referred to as the “Flower” Super Moon. This term is taken from the Farmer’s Almanac and named this because of all the flowers that bloom this time of year.
The Full Super Moon in May will be the second of 2021’s three Super Moons, according to the almanac, following a Super Pink Full Moon that was at the end of April.
The Super Blood Moon will be visible over eastern Asia, the Pacific Ocean, and the western part of the U.S. In other parts of the country or world, the moon will be below the horizon so not visible, but you will still receive the energies from it.
Get your lawn chairs ready and get outside to witness it if you can. It will occur at 4:14 am Pacific Time.
