Do you even know?

Through time just about everything you can think of has been used or is still being used as a beauty product or in beauty products. If you can image at one time makeup products made out of radium was all the rage. “An ever-flowing Fountain of Youth and Beauty has at last been found in the Energy Rays of Radium!” claimed one 1918 commercial.

Unsurprisingly, users of the questionable products experienced serious health problems down the road. And that is just one harmful product that has been used.

Other harmful products would be:

  • Formaldehyde, a known carcinogen.
  • Paraformaldehyde, a type of formaldehyde.
  • Methylene glycol, a type of formaldehyde.
  • Quaternium 15, which releases formaldehyde.
  • Mercury, which can damage the kidneys and nervous system.
  • Dibutyl and diethylhexyl phthalates, which disrupt hormones and damage the reproductive system.

Do you ever read the ingredients or bother checking what is in the products you are using? I am hoping you are starting to realize just how important that knowledge is.

Your skin is the largest organ you have and it also absorbs anything that is applied to it and sends it directly into your bloodstream and organs.

Shouldn’t you care more about what you are applying to yourself and your children?

There is one easy way to control it and that’s to make your own products with things that are all natural.

Here are some “good for you” ingredients that help, rather than harm, you and your family.

  • Aloe Vera gel contains a plethora of amino acids, minerals, and vitamins that benefit your skin and hair. …
  • Apple cider vinegar. …
  • Baking soda. …
  • Beeswax. …
  • Castile soap. …
  • Clay. …
  • Coconut, Sweet Almond, Jojoba, Olive and other carrier oils …
  • Essential oils
  • Herbs
  • Flowers

I hope you will all really consider creating your own cleaning and beauty products or at the very least investigate what is in what you are using.

This is just one more way for you to take control of your own health and healing.

Please share with anyone that you think might benefit from this information!
