We are all a work in progress but you cannot be your best self when you focus on what other people are thinking of you or are worried about how they may react. You want to be authentic and genuine in every moment. You don’t want to be walking on eggshells or tiptoeing around the truth or you will feel dis-empowered.
It is when you own YOU… your actions, words, and truth that you feel the most alive and in alignment with the way you should live your life. In the end it is insecurity and simply yourself that gets in your own way… and you want to get to the point where you are honestly over it!
YOU keep yourself from not being your best self…and sometimes lack self love and belief in your own ability. It is a bad habit when you compare yourself to others physically and career wise and you will be much happier if you begin working on that…when you’re doing your best and you have confidence that “this is my best”, you take back your power.
When you are not being your best self, there is struggle which causes low energy, overwhelm and stress. Usually this is caused when you are taken in by the cares and troubles of the world. You forget you are a divine being living in a physical world where you are meant to learn and grow into your Divine Self – which has all the answers to be the best of who you can be. When you are aligned with your higher consciousness, you are joyful, loving and have clarity. Best of all, you grow into the awareness of your true identity. Your life will unfold, it will get better and your obstacles will disappear.
What keeps you from being your best self: Being too hard on yourself, being overly critical of yourself, self sabotage, being overly sensitive, overthinking, obsessing, being a perfectionist…does that sound familiar?
How do you feel when you are not being the best version of yourself: Do you feel critical of yourself, do you feel depressed, do you feel despair, do you feel stressed, fearful, impatient?
What scenarios keep you from being your best self: not honoring your core needs, not speaking your truth, valuing another’s position while discounting your own and giving your power away, reacting rather than responding?
These things will make you feel invisible, unheard, devalued, dis-empowered, lethargic while your scattered and/or wounded energy field works to balance itself. You will feel energetically vulnerable to the negative energy from others.
When you take control and get back in the driver’s seat you do the best you can and stop listening to other people’s shoulds you will feel like your best self: empowered to be visible while speaking your truth, energized, at peace, balanced, and your energy field will be strong and protected from other people’s energy. You will respond rather than react and you will be calm while responding. You will seek win-win situations, you will agree to disagree rather than let someone bully you into changing what you think is right for you simply because it is different than what they think is right for you.
Don’t let fear of failure keep you from stepping out there and being your best self. Every one of us fail and that is where you learn, grow, and become stronger.
The best version of you is fearless.
Realize that everything boils down to Self Love. When you have a lack of self love you do many things from eating things that are unhealthy, to not speaking your truth and putting everything before yourself. So practice self love often.
When you know you are going into that space of negative chatter in your mind and when you do not take the time to do “self-care”, which would be prayer, meditation and /or journaling, exercising, and spending a little time learning and increasing your knowledge you set yourself up for self sabotage, so make sure you incorporate these things into your daily routine.
You get to choose the confident, happy, powerful you or the self doubting, dis-empowered you. Which will it be?
Make sure you take time to recharge and take care of yourself. You are worth it.
Your true nature is unconditional love and that is especially true for yourself.

Thank you Mary Beth! I needed to hear this today. Life is not happening to me but for me. Today I’m going to respond not react, wish me luck 😉.
Much love, Carole
