Winter Solstice

The winter solstice is a really special day to celebrate. It is the shortest day of the year which means from here on out we are welcoming more light each day.

Some fun ways to celebrate would be with a bonfire, sitting around the fireplace, or light your fire pit. Have pieces of paper handy and invite everyone to write out what they would like to release or be free of from 2019 and then at the time of the solstice drop them into the fire and release them to the universe.

Or you can have everyone write what their intentions are for 2020 and send that out to the universe.

If you’re really adventurous you can do both.

Food and beverages are always a welcome part of the celebration. For the special occasion you may want a Yule Log desert, a Winter Solstice beverage (recipe below), S’mores with a peppermint twist (add a peppermint patty instead of a piece of a Hershey’s chocolate bar).

Get creative, have fun with it and send me pictures and a short description of how you celebrated.
