August’s Full Sturgeon Super Moon reaches its peak on Thursday, August 11, 2022. This Full Super Moon is in the sign of Aquarius and is the 4th in a row and will be the last Super Moon of 2022.
The energy of this Aquarius Full Super Moon began coming in on August 4th and will stick around until August 18th. You will always have a week pre and post of the moon’s energies.
With this Full Super Moon in Aquarius, you may experience a punch to the gut! Full Moons are a time of release but what gets released during this mixed bag of cosmic energies may not be for anyones highest or best good. You may be left feeling shaken and have repressed anger overwhelm you. Conversations that need to be had may prove explosive. Be ready!
On the same day, Venus, the planet of love enters Leo and leaves you with a desire for more love and affection.
Quite the combination of energies to deal with.
In times of upheaval and uncertainty, grounding, the foundation of your energy system, is a MUST. This is not something you can skip over or forget to do at this time. It should be a daily practice but these are the times you need it more than ever.
In these energies, as fast as you solve one problem, another is likely to appear. So, do all you can to be prepared. You need to rely on your intuition which is another reason you must be grounded. My Grounding, Zip Up & Coconut process is a great way to ground yourself daily.
Get what serves your highest good from the energies while you have the chance. The Full Moon in Aquarius will encourage you to look at all you have achieved. Take time to do this and celebrate YOU.
The Full Super Moon is called the Sturgeon Moon because if you are a fisherman, you know, August is prime Sturgeon season. This is the peak of the Sturgeon fish catch in the waters of North America’s Great Lakes. Getting out on the water and just feeling the rocking motion of the boat is a great stress reliever—actually catching fish is a bonus!
A good exercise to calm yourself during heightened frequencies is Box Breathing. This will help you to reduce stress, improve your mood and control your emotions.
Imagine breathing around a box. Inhale as you are going up one side of the box – 1,2,3,4,5. Hold your breath as you cross the top of the box – 1,2,3,4,5. Exhale and drop down the other side of the box – 1,2,3,4,5. Pause your breathing as you go along the bottom of the box – 1,2,3,4,5. It is a good practice to do this 5-10 times in a row, focusing on your breath.
Box breathing has both physiological and psychological benefits. You may do it as often as you like or whenever you are feeling the need.
